The curriculum of ABI is founded on the highest standards of classical ballet technique. To this base of academic classicism is added the importance of freedom in movement and musical expressivity--training dancers to embody the athletic attack and grace inherent in contemporary movement styles.
Each level is created to be age appropriate according to a defined curriculum and includes such classes as: classical ballet technique, pointe, pas de deux, variations, and men’s class. Special seminars on modern dance, music for dancers, yoga, body conditioning, character dance, nutrition for dancers and dance history are also offered. All ballet technique classes are taught by former members of major dance companies --professionals in the field who have an innate understanding of what it takes to succeed in today’s dance world.
